Abstract

The Network on Classical Tradition in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance focuses on the major aspects of the classical tradition: the reception of classical texts (manuscripts discoveries, circulation, translations), the scholarship (glosses and commentaries, textual criticism) and the impact of classical myth and literature.

The dossier contains: Network proposal by B. Munk Olsen, 1990; documents on the meetings to organize and manage the Network: explanatory workshop, Paris, 29 April 1991; Coordination Committee meeting, Vienna, 9 Nov 1991; second meeting of the Coordination Committee, Florence, 28 June 1992; Coordination Committee meeting, Wolfenbüttel, 24 March 1993.
The dossier also contains documents concerning the workshops.
