The Network on National Socialist Occupation Policy was approved by ESF Executive Council in June 1994 and was completed in December 1997.
The Chairman was Professor Wolfgang Benz from Berlin.

The Network on National Socialist Occupation Policy focuses on these themes surrounding Nazi occupation: bureaucratic annexation and control; economic and financial exploitation; racial policy and persecution of the Jews; public sphere and culture; forms of reaction and resistance to the occupation power.
