The Network on European-African Songbird Migration was launched in 1994 for a three year period and it was completed in 1996.
The Chairman was Dr. Franz Bairlein.

Topics of the Network on European-African Songbird Migration are: analysis of the seasonal and diurnal patterns of migrant; comparative analysis of bio-metrical measurements; analysis of fat reserves and body mass; differences in body features.
