The Network on Transitions in Youth was approved by ESF Executive Council in June 1993 and it was completed in May 1996.
The Chairman was Professor David Raffe from the University of Edinburgh.

Main topics of the Network on Transitions in Youth are: the transition process from education to labour market and the gap between education and work; the interdependence of education/labour market with family, households and domestic transitions; the factors determining individuals' prospects on entering the labour market; the trends in educational levels; the national differences among education and training systems and their social and economic context.
