Context
The Network on Whole Plant Physiology was approved by the Executive Council in March 1992 for a period of three years and it was completed in 1995.
The Chairman was Hans Lambers, Professor at the University of Utrecht.
Content and Structure
The Network studies how plants perform in relation to the environment, analyzing both the ecosystem and the molecular processes.
The dossier contains documents on the workshops held in the years 1991-1995: Workshop on "Carbon-nitrogen interactions, a whole plant perspective", Montpellier, 18-20 Sep 1991: agenda, abstracts, team presentations, list of participants.
Exploratory workshop on Whole Plant Physiology, Montpellier, 20 Sep 1991 and correspondence concerning the proposal for a Network on Whole Plant Physiology.
Workshop on "Nitrogen assimilation, translocation and partitioning: relations to developmental stage and carbon supply", Stockholm, 12-14 Aug 1992: programme and abstracts.
Workshop on "Physiological basis of plant fitness", Weidenberg, 29-31 July 1993: report.
Workshop on "Allocation of carbon and nutrients: mechanisms and consequences at the whole plant level", Utrecht, 14-16 Dec 1994: programme and abstracts.
Workshop on "Resource capture and processing", Dublin, 4-7 Oct 1995.
