Abstract
In January 1998 the ESF launched the Theoretical Biology of Adaptation (TBA), a four years programme which aims to bring together theoretically inclined biologists and biologically inclined mathematicians to co-operate on problems relating to the process of evolutionary adaptation in biological systems.
