The Airborne Polar Experiments was presented to the ERSC at its 1994 Spring meeting. The programme was approved by the ESF Executive Council in November 1994.
It concerns the coordination of an airborne experiment which will make use of stratospheric platforms for in situ measurements of the minor atmospheric components, which are responsible for the greenhouse effect.
