Abstract

The TAO programme launched in 1996 and ending in 1999 concerns the transport processes in the geophysical fluids, atmosphere and oceans, from a theoretical and numerical point of view.
It is not only a nice exercise of difficult mathematics, but the results will be useful to applied scientists and decision makers in environmental policy.
