The principle and outline of this conference was agreed by the Administrative Board at previous meetings (November 1985 and March 1986) and this paper informs the Board of developments. Detailed is the background (p.1), the themes for the conference (p.1), a registration form as the conference will be invitation only (p.3) and a timetable for the three day (5 November 1986-7 November 1986) (p.4). Also included is a list detailing the suggested involvement of Board members in the Working Group (p.5). 5pp. Item 6: AB/30/6a-Signed ratification of the decisions taken by the Bureau since the Board meeting of 5 March 1986. AB/30/6b-Suggestion by the Director that the Board request the Commission to make a proposal to the Council allowing a proper solution to the question of retroactivity of pension rights within the Foundation. AB/30/6c-Signed decision authorising the budgetary transfers set out in the annex. Item 7: AB/30/7a-Document detailing the level of participation the Foundation will take in the conference on Working Conditions and New Technology in the Public Service. 'The commitment taken on by the Foundation would be confined to the reimbursement of travel and other expenses for five or six researchers, and simultaneous translation into three languages. No reimbursement is envisaged for participants.' AB/30/7b-Proposals for the 1986 programme of work. Covering note states that 'when decisions were taken on the 1986 programme of work, it was decided to come back to the Administrative Board with more detailed proposals on this project'.
