Content and Structure
Turkey became an associated member of the European Economic Community in 1963. Although Agriculture is still the main source of income for 80% of the population, other areas of the economy start to develop, not at least as a result of the close cooperation with the European Community. Turkey sees itself as a tie between Europe and Asia. And since Atatürk laid the foundation for modern Turkey, profound reforms were implemented. If the Turkish standard of living can be increased, the member states of the European Economic Community will also benefit.
