"The tourist who admires the masterpieces of ancient Greece does not see the Greece of today. He has no idea of the obstacles the country is faced with as it tries to take its place among the European states of the twentieth century. Since the war great efforts have been made towards modernization, especially in the spheres of agriculture, industry, roads and tourism. In association with the European Economic Community, and by dint of its own efforts, Greece will become a partner fully capable of contributing to the unity of Europe.
