Content and Structure
Item 1: Draft agenda of the twenty-second meeting of the Committee of Experts. Item 2: Draft minutes of the twenty-first meeting of the Committee of Experts, 21-22 May 1987. Minutes detail the report by the Directorate on the assessment of the experimental evaluation procedure (p.2), the outline of the 1988 work programme (p.3) and the exchange of views on the 1989-1992 four-year rolling programme (p.3). A provisional schedule of meetings and a list of participants are annexed. 7pp. Item 3: Report by Gilbert Cornu, Chairperson of the Committee, on the activities of the Administrative Board. No document. Item 4: Thirtieth progress report by the Director on the activities of the European Foundation, covering the period March 1987-June 1987. Report details the activities of the Foundation. 'The Commission has withdrawn its proposed amendments to the founding regulation of the Foundation and the debate in Parliament on the report by Mr. Dido has been concluded.' (p.1), 4pp. Progress report was submitted to the Administrative Board as item AB 33/3. Item 5: Reports by members of the Committee of Experts on seminars, colloquia, coordination meetings and evaluation committees: Report on the first coordination meeting, Brussels 6 October 1987, on the 'Study on Hazardous Wastes and the Public'. Report details the meeting and concludes that 'all-in all it was a very successful meeting with all participants actively involved in discussions and many positive proposals being put forward'. 1p. Item 6: Draft programme of work for 1988 (CE/22/6(1)) and revised draft programme sheets of work for 1988 (CE/22/6(2)). Draft programme contains an introduction putting the programme into context and emphasising the link with the new four-year rolling programme (p.1), a list of activities (p.2) and a number of programme sheets are annexed (p.7). Covering note asks the Committee of Experts to give its opinion on the draft programme of work 1988. 22pp. (Opinion of the Committee is submitted to the Administrative Board as AB 34/4a). Programme sheets detail the activities proposed within the 1988 Work Programme including the title, nature of activity, responsibility, theme and also the aims and background of the activity. 22pp. Item 7: Schedule of meetings for 1987 and 1988, detailing the Committee's representation at the meetings. 6pp. Item 8: First framework document on the 1989-1992 four-year rolling programme. 'The attached document has been prepared after the discussion in the Working Group on 14 September 1987. It is intended to become part of the first framework document on the four-year rolling programme 1989-1992 ...
