Context
The Network on Human Reasoning and Decision Making was approved by the ESF Executive Council in May 1997 for a three-year period.
The Co-Chairmen were Professor Jean-Paul Caverni, from Université de Provence, and Professor Riccardo Viale, from University of Milan.
Content and Structure
The Network on Human Reasoning and Decision Making aims to bring together economists, social scientists and cognitive scientists, to better understand the underlying processes involved in decision making. It focuses mainly on: cognitive models of inductive reasoning; models of human memory; cognitive models of social action; psychology of problem solving and creativity; simulation of economic phenomena through artificial intelligence tools.
