The Chairman was Prof. Jean-Claude Gall from Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg.

Abstract

Research priorities of the Network on Fossil Insects are: establishment of a palaeoentomological data bank; phylogenetic and systematic studies; insect evolution; taphonomy (preservational processes affecting fossil insects); dynamics of ancient ecosystems and rates of climatic change.
