The paper's purpose 'is to stimulate the debate about priorities on the different activities of the Foundation. It is based on an earlier paper outlining possible activities for inclusion in the Foundation's 1991 work programme.' The paper consists of 'the different activities and projects for the annual programme for 1991, within the framework of the four-year rolling programme 1989-1992. Indications are also given on follow-up activities foreseen for 1992 and beyond.' 16pp. Item 4: Committee of Experts. No document. Item 5: Paper detailing the role and activities of the Foundation in relation to the Commission proposal for a European Safety and Health Agency. 'This paper addresses the role, experience and current activities of the Foundation in the field of safety and health. In particular, the Foundation's current activities are considered in the light of the Commission discussion document no. 2213/90 presented to the Advisory Committee for Safety, Hygiene and Health Protection at Work on the setting up of an Agency for Health and Safety.' 4pp. An annex is included comparing the 'specific activities of the proposed Agency, as set out in a note by the Commission, with those of the Foundation.' 8pp.

This extended meeting dealt with the 'Implications for the Foundation of the new Community initiatives on the creation of the European Environmental Agency and the Safety Hygiene and Health Agency.'
