Abstract

The Steering Board also studies the reasons for maintaining certain quantitative restrictions and ways and means of doing away with them.With the aid of the technical Committees it proceeded, in 1953, to a detailed examination, product by product, hearing all the parts, of the quantitative restrictions maintained for reasons other than balance of payments difficulties.
