Context
The Network was approved by the ESF Network Group in November 2002 for a three-year period.
The Chairman was Professor Charles Harris, Cardiff University.
Content and Structure
The Network focuses on the environmental impact of global warming and of melting of permafrost in the arctic and mountainous regions, that can cause subsidence in arctic lowlands and slope instability in mountains, with increasing of risk of avalanches and landslides.
The dossier contains correspondence on the establishment of the Network: proposal and research assessments; summary report, 2003.
