Context
The Network was approved by the ESF Network Group in December 2002, to run from January 2003 to December 2005.
The Chairman was Professor Jean-Pierre Changeux, form Institut Pasteur, Paris.
Content and Structure
The Network focuses on molecular and cellular neurobiology and on neurotransmission in neuronal systems, involved in many neuropathologies, such as schizophrenia and drug abuse. The Network aims to provide information and methods for the diagnosis and treatment of such pathologies, but also to link the function of neurobiological structures and the implementation of cognitive and mental abilities.
The dossier contains: Network proposal and research assessments; correspondence on the establishment of the Network and general correspondence; report about the activities of the Network, May 2004; proposal for a workshop, 17 May 2005.
The dossier also contains minutes of the first meeting of the Coordination Committee, held in Paris, on 8 April 2003; minutes of the second meeting of the Coordination Committee, held in Paris, on 21 Nov 2003; minutes of DopaNet meeting, held in Hinxton, on 8 July 2004.
