Context
The Network was approved by the ESF Network Group in May 2001 for a three-year period.
The Chairman was Dr. Cristina D'Ancona, from University of Padova.
Content and Structure
The Network has a twin focus on the transformation of the philosophical ideas developed by Plato, and the circulation of those ideas within Medieval Europe fostered by the Graeco-Arabic transmission and the Arabic-Latin transmission.
The dossier contains: proposal; research assessments; documents concerning workshops and conferences (flyers, participants’ lists, reports); minutes of the Coordination Committee meeting held in Florence on 29 Sep 2001; summary report (2001-2004); final report.
