Context
The activities of the agricultural bodies of the OEEC which were begun by the Committee for Agriculture and Food in 1948, were initially geared towards solving the problems created by war-time destruction and, up to 1950, every effort was concentrated on increasing agricultural production so as to meet the shortage of food products and animal feedstuffs and to reduce the balance of payments difficulties.
Content and Structure
The documents in this series are mainly minutes of meetings of the Committee and working papers concerning the annual programmes, work of the sub-committees, liberalisation of certain products and co-operation with the EPA.
The documents on the microfilm are numbered according to their position on the microfilm eg. 1001
