Abstract

Describes the project of the Moselle canalization in the years from 1958 to 1964. The basis of this project was the Moselle Treaty which was signed by West Germany, Luxembourg and France in 1956 in order to develop the Moselle into a modern waterway. The film emphasized the importance of the Moselle for the European Coal and Steel Community.
