Content and Structure
The handsome dachshund Siegfried and the beautiful cat Jacqueline spend a day together at a funfair. Here, they decide to take a ride on the ghost train ‘Europe’. In the course of this journey they are haunted by many (European) ghosts: bureaucracy, frontiers, controls, and prejudices. Both become horrified and start a massive dispute, which finally brings the tent to collapse. They both find themselves in a predicament, and only a joint cooperation will save them. In the end, the two are united again, taking a peaceful walk in the park.
