Documentary about the first meeting of the German youth organization of the Federal Trade Union Confederation with nearly 30,000 participants in July 1952. The motto of the congress was "Lasst endlich Europa werden" ("Let us finally have Europe"). Sports competitions and cultural events were part of the accompanying programme. The keynote speaker of the assembly was the Nobel Peace Prize laureate of 1951, Leon Jouhaux.
