Context
The Academic Task Force was created in 1994 by the CRE Conference of Thessaloniki. It aimed at rehabilitating war-afflicted universities in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia and assist their reintegration into the European academic community. Together with external partners, and consortia members, the target universities (Mostar, Sarajevo and Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina; Osijek, Rijeka, Split and Zagreb in Croatia; Pristina in Kosovo) would design programmes of academic support.
CRE members could support the initiative through the Solidarity Fund created for this project.
Content and Structure
The files concern the relations of the CRE with various universities in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, as well as other programmes working in these countries for higher education (such as the Tempus project). It also contains the correspondence related to this area and the records of the CRE taking part in conferences and meetings organised by other organisations.
