The Transatlantic Dialogue is an initiative of the CRE, The Pew Higher Education Roundtable and the American Council on Education (ACE) which aimed at creating links between European and American universities.

The Transatlantic dialogue is still an ongoing initiative of the European University Association.

The files, while focusing on the activities of the Translatlantic Dialogue project, also include the first joint actions undertaken by the CRE and the American Council of Education, before their involvement in that same project. It is composed mainly of documents related to conferences.
