Istanbul – 12.05.1970:
The file contains preparatory correspondence, the minutes of the 20th meeting of the Permanent Committee as well as working documents.
It also includes a brochure of the International Conference of Universities in Kuala Lumpur, a brochure for the Fifth General Conference of the International Association of Universities in Montreal. It contains also several invitations: from the United Nations to a seminar on the role of youth in the promotion and protection of human rights in Belgrade (including memorandum); from the League of Yugoslav Universities to the International Seminar ‘L’Université d’aujourd’hui’ in Dubrovnik; and from the Council of Europe to the Governmental course on ‘The audio-visual center in the modern university’ in Utrecht, (including a report of the preparatory meeting held in Strasbourg); Minutes of the administrative meeting of the IVth General Assembly in Geneva. Particular topics discussed include: Franco-German proposal to establish a permanent commission to participate to the discussions of the European Economic Community concerning article 57 of the Treaty of Rome; Problems of widening the CRE.

Particular topics discussed include: Establishment of a ‘commission de la politique de la science’; Franco-German proposal to establish a permanent commission to participate to the discussions of the European Economic Community concerning article 57 of the Treaty of Rome; Discrimination of foreign students in terms of ‘numerus clausus’.
