Ana Cecilia Ponce arrived in Turin, Italy, via Ecuador while her two daughters remained in Cuzco until Ana was able to repatriate them to Italy. In Turin, she teaches traditional Peruvian dances, which gives her an important role within the community due to her efforts to transmit Peruvian culture to younger generations of Peruvians in Italy.
