Administrative and Biographical History
In 1988 and 1989 Padoa Schioppa took up the duties as Joint Secretary for the European Monetary Union (EMU). From 1988 to 1991 he acted as Chairman of Banking Advisory Committee. He had also other charges, as that of member of Board of Directors of European Investment Bank, and as member of Committee of Governors at the Group of Thirty (G-30).
