Administrative and Biographical History
Padoa Schioppa was elected for Italy inside the Executive Council of newly established European Central Bank (ECB) on June 1998. He took up the duties as Deputy Director. He kept this mandate until May 2005. During this period, he lectured in Frankfurt University explaining as insider member the scopes and the tasks of ECB.
