The ESA/Japan Ad-Hoc Working Group was established in April 1996 under ESA/Japan annual meeting, with the main objectives to exchange views in order to elaborate recommendations for enhanced cooperation.
Under the aegis of the Ad-Hoc Working Group, various Sub-Working Groups have been created, each dedicated to a specific field of cooperation.
