Content and Structure
The GISDATA was launched in January 1993 for a 4-year period.
The file contains proposals and the proposal for a Year Zero, the progress report from Research Co-ordinator (02/1995), the report of the final meeting (13-17/09/97) and the final evaluation report (06/10/97).
It also contains the minutes of the Steering Committee meetings (02/03/1993, 9-10/12/1993, 8-9/11/1994, and 12-13/12/1995); the minutes of the management Committee meetings (Milan, 08/12/1993, Brussels 07-08/11/1994, Paris, 14/02/1995, London 04/10/1995, Zurich 11/12/1995, Amsterdam 30/01/1996, and Oslo 05/11/1996); the reports (including lists of participants and programmes) of the following workshops: "Geographical Information Systems" (Davos, 24-26/01/1991), "Geographical Databases" (Aix-en-Provence, 11-15/03/1992), "Socio-economic Applications of Geographical Information Systems" (Sintra, 10-14/06/1992), "Geographical Information Systems: Health and Environment" (Bilthoven, 13-17/05/1992); the position papers: European Data Strategic Review, "GIS and Health Research in Europe", a discussion paper "GISDATA: The Final Stages", and a position statement from the ESF’s GISDATA programme; documents on the 1995 GISDATA Joint ESF/NSF Summer Institute.
