L'arrangement multilatéral a fait l'objet de la décision 74/214/CEE du Conseil du 21.03.1974 portant conclusion de l'arrangement concernant le commerce international des textiles. Cet arrangement fut également appelé "arrangement multifibre" ou "accord multifibre".
