The Partnership, founded on 16 June 1997 at Paris-Le Bourget, is a joint not-for-profit initiative of the European and Russian Space Agencies, serving the European and Russian aerospace industries. The Partnership Charter aimes to expand exchanges of expertise between Russian and West European aerospace professionals through the arrangement of exchanges of information on working methods and training for staff on both sides. The programme of activities includes the organisation of seminars and workshops on international law, industrial contracts and management of space projects. The partnership receives the support from the European Commission in the framework of the TACIS cooperation programmes with Russia.
