On 01/10/1960 OM founded in Vienna the "Europäische Föderalistische Partei Österreichs (EFPÖ) or (EFP)". In June 1962 the national party congress decided to participate in Austrian national elections taking place in autumn 1962, where it obtained 22.000 preferences (0,8%). In 1963 the party nominated as candidate for the Austrian presidency J. Kimmel who attained 180.000 votes (4,0%); one third of them in Vienna. The participation in the regional elections in 1964 represented a minor success.
OM reactivated the EFPÖ in the early seventieth by organising a party congress, press conferences and a "politische Basisgruppe". In December 1980 the party was dissolved.
The files give quite a complete picture of the party's history. They include correspondence, membership lists, handwritten notes by OM, the publicity strategies adopted for the elections and the minutes of the statutory meetings.
