This special edition of the weekly newsreel La Settimana INCOM presents both the various institutions and political representatives of the European Coal and Steel Community (ESCS), as well as the positive effects of the ESCS on the coal and steel production in Italy and the five other member states. Furthermore, it explains the numerous measures of the ECSC to improve the working conditions and safety standards for miners after the tragic incident in the Belgian city of Marcinelle in 1956.
