Content and Structure
Ettore Scola, PCI candidate to the European Parliament in 1979, explains in this film why the European Communities and the election to European Parliament are important for the Italians and the Italian economy. One of the major arguments are the worker’s rights protected by the Treaty of Rome and the Italian labour migration. The documentary is complemented by two interventions with Giorgio Amendola, Chairman of the Communist Group in the European Parliament, and Altiero Spinelli, founder of the European Federalist Movement in Italy (MFE).
