Content and Structure
Abstract
The Bureau is the executive body of the CoR. It has a fundamental political role drawing up, establishing and monitoring its political priorities and oversees their implementation.
Originally, the Bureau had thirty members in addition to its president and its first vice-president.
The Bureau meets before each plenary assembly to coordinate the work of the plenary assembly and the commissions. It also gathers two times a year in extraordinary meetings in the EU country holding the Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The Bureau has a term of two and half years.
