Content and Structure
Abstract
The CoR has to be consulted on all areas likely to have
repercussions at local or regional level.
Since its establishment, the Council or the Commission are required to consult the Committee in the following areas:
— education (Article 149 of the EC Treaty);
— culture (Article 151 of the EC Treaty);
— public health (Article 152 of the EC Treaty);
— trans-European networks (Article 156 of the EC Treaty);
— economic and social cohesion (Articles 159, 161 and 162 of the EC Treaty).
