Remarks on: Pacific Pact Council Meeting,- meetings with Secretary of State, Dean Acheson regarding German contractual agreements,appearance before Sub-Committee of the House Appropriations Committee on Foreign Aid,- his and Acheson's testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee,- attendance at conference of representatives of the French Embassy,- Senator Hickenlooper's introduction of a reservation into the Senate's ratification of the General Convention on Relations with the German Federal Republic. Bruce told the Senators that such a resolution if adopted would be disastrous, and that the ratification by the Senate not only of the Treaty but the protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty was of the utmost importance and if any reservations were attached, foreign Parliaments would do likewise. Part of the prosposed reservations were adopted by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee,- letter to President from Winston Churchill regarding rumours in UK that US intended to use atomic bomb in Korea.
