The JEF fonds were transferred from JEF Brussels headquarters to the HAEU in Florence under a deposit contract signed on June 1, 1993. Three other shipments of documents were transferred to Florence in July 2000, February 2005 and April 2008 respectively.

The JEF fonds consists of notes and memoranda on the action programmes, campaigns and demonstrations organised by the JEF/YEF (notably European Youth Parliament and International Youth Year), reports and resolutions of congresses, forums and seminars, correspondence with European Federalist Union, (EFU), European Movement (EM), European Coordination Bureau of International Youth Organisations (ECB), World Federalist Movement (WFM), Youth Forum (EC Commission), European Youth Centre and European Youth Foundation (Council of Europe) and national sections.

Before reorganization, it amounted to 21 packages of archives, alpha-numerically coded in 2 parts. After reclassification, the holding at present consists of 271 files that covers the period from 1970 to 2001.
