Any member of the public is admitted provided he/she is accepted as a reader by the Director of the National Archives. No particular qualifications are needed. Official letters of introduction or recommendation for non-nationals are normally not required.
Secretary's Office (A, S, P and PS series). With the introduction of computerisation, a new series number 250 was allocated to the Secretary's Office and all files/folders irrespective of age were re registered into this series, apart from those already deposited in the National Archives.
