Since its creation and designation of its missions by a specific working group of the European Science Foundation in 1976, the Standing Committee for the Humanities had bi-annual meetings to discuss the current work of the ESF and the scientific community and, more importantly, to decide on new project proposals and to report on the advancements of the running activities.
