Abstract
In 1951 Uwe Kitzinger was appointed the first British economist of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. After his time as political Counsellor to Christopher Soames in the European Commission, Kitzinger was appointed Dean of the management school INSEAD in Fontainebleau. He became the founding President of the Templeton College in Oxford in 1984.
Furthermore he was founding Chairman of the Committee on Atlantic Studies (1967-70) and consultant to the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok (1992-93).
