The ECSC auditor (Commissaire aux comptes de la CECA, in French) was one of the predecessors of the European Court of Auditors, together with the Audit Board. Its Reports were published by the Office for official publications of the European Communities. The Court's Audit Group IV, which was in charge of the audit of the ECSC accounts, kept a not exhaustive collection of ECSC Auditor's Reports for reference. The collection was transferred to the Court's Archives service and digitised in 2014. According to Council Regulation No 354/84, the original paper Reports were transferred to the Historical Archives of the European Union in December 2023.

The series is made up of copies of the Reports that had been published by the European Coal and Steel Community Auditor, one of the two predecessor of the European Court of Auditors.
