Abstract

The reproduction commemorates one of the 25 bike tours organised from 1982 onwards by Dieter Rogalla. Dieter Rogalla, a law graduate, was a member of the Socialist Group of the European Parliament from 1981 to 1994. The tours reached numerous European countries and supported the elimination of frontiers and borders in Europe through popular sport events.

Because of these tours, Dieter Rogalla was given the surname 'Eurogalla'.

On the bottom the sculpture bears the inscription:
"Keine Grenzschranken mehr. ‚Schengen‘, Europas Osterei ’95 (Eurogalla)" and 33 signatures.
