The ESA headquarters in Paris stored the files. CETS files were particular topics of the filing system.
The fonds was deposited at the HAEU under the terms of the deposit contract signed on 12 May 1989.

Only a few official issues of CETS, particularly of Technical Planning Staff, are stored in the files of this Fonds, the smallest of the ESA sub-divisions, but the quantity of the material is sufficient for the reconstruction of the history of the agreement between ESRO and European governments regarding space telecommunications. The files concern the various steps approaching the agreement on telecommunications with unofficial minutes, reports, notes and relevant correspondence, plus comments on the final text.
