Content and Structure
The Committee for European Integration (KIE) was founded on 08/08/1996 as a State Public Administration Agency in charge of the planning and co-ordination of Polish central institution's policies on the way to the integration with the European Union. It is a ministerial structure composed of the chairman, the Secretary and the following Ministers: Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Economy, Finance, Environmental Protection, Labour and Social Policy, Agriculture and Food, Economy and Justice. On 15/10/1996 Danuta Hübner is appointed Secretary of the KIE with the rank of Secretary of State and Head of the executive body of the KIE, the Office of the Committee of European Integration (UKIE).
The files in this series are DH's working files. They are typically composed of internal notes and reports, studies and analyses, statistical data, text of speeches, documents related to meetings and correspondence exchanged between members of the Committee and handwritten notes by DH.
