Edwin has a white Dutch background. His grandfather has lived in the Dutch Indies and was in a Japanese prison camp during decolonization. He went back to the place where this camp used to be and talked about the tension between the beautiful environment and tourist experience on the one hand and the memories of his grandfather on the other.
