Established in 1976 , the WG on cost models in photogrammetry was tasked with: examining efficiency in mapping experiments by elaborating cost calculations, elaborating theoretical models of functional relations between products and costs, collect and process statistical data for cost models, operational approach towards costs calculation. The WG was open to the participation of non-European institutions. Its results would be published by the ISP International Society of Photogrammetry
