Graham Avery was Head of Division for Economic Affairs and General Problems in the Directorate General for Agriculture of the Commission of the European Communities. The files concern the European Council which discussed agriculture, the reform of agricultural policy, perspectives for the CAP with the publication in 1985 of the Green Paper on agriculture, set-aside, extensification and reconversion and a small quantity of material on agriculture and the environment. There are also some press cuttings and background papers and briefs used by Avery for various meetings and conferences.
